The Plan: Executed

I will start by saying I am proud of myself for executing my plan which was to exercise in Ramadan and eat healthy and all that..

18 days into Ramadan and I finally did it =D
I exercised =D

But 3ad when I came back home I was broken, tired and exhausted but my sweet sweet adorable amazing lovely husband gave me a surprise massage =D

I walked into the room and he had candles lit beside my bed and he was like “this way please” lool.. Isn’t my 7amani CCCUUUUTEEEE.. Me love him :*

It was something like this =D

So I got the best massage EVER!!

The next day Ramadan 19, I went again.. This time it wasn’t pretty at all!! And after that I retired and I exterminated my plan coz there is no point.. Plus I discovered its not healthy to workout..

Let me tell you WHY its not healthy to workout!! Your back, leg, hands and hair hurts and you get muscle pain for days and you also start craving for sweets and chocolate!! Before I started working out, I didn’t want to eat anything!!

On the plus side, I somehow managed to loose weight, not sure how that happened but I am happy =D

He Looks Like My Boss!!!

Sitting in a meeting today bored and feeling sleepy, my boss was sitting next to me and when he talks i cant help but look at him and pretend that i am interested in what is going on with the work that we need to do lool.. While looking at him, i was saying to myself that he looks very familiar then it hit me!! MY BOSS LOOKS LIKE THIS GUY!!

For those who don’t know him.. His name is Michael Emerson and he plays a character called "Ben Linus" in the series "Lost"..

I would have uploaded the picture of my boss but that wouldn’t be ethical now would it ;)

The Plan

The more I wash my clothes the more they shrink.. They are trying to play games on me and indicating and assuming that I am getting FAT, which is clearly NOT the case here, coz we all know that heat makes things shrink!!!

My Clothes HAS Shrunk, I am so sticking to my story!!

So here is the plan.. Oh no, my clothes aren’t gonna win.. They want to trick my but the joke is on them.. Oh Yeah.. I won’t replace them; i won’t give them the satisfaction of seeing new things in the closet!!

Back to the plan..
Since Ramadan is only few days away, it’s the perfect time to loose I mean to START.. Yes START having a healthier life style.. Less junk food and healthier home made food… Start engaging in any type of available sport.. Since football is over, i think I will join the basketball team if they will be having any activities, if not, I might gather the football girls and just do our own training or anything.. Or simply find a partner who will go jogging with me =)

The plan sounds simple and nice =D
Now executing it and implementing it is where I need a kick start!!

To all my clothes that have shrunk, I say BRING IT ON!!!

And soon, I will be telling you IN YOUR FACE!!!!

When I first got introduced to you I was so happy… Actually beyond happy…I remember when people were telling me about you.. I was hesitant on the idea of you.. The way that you are, the things that you can do.. It was all too good to be true.. Little did I know that my life with you would be happiness and torture in the end..

The first few days I was the happiest person on earth.. You were glued to me 24/7 and I LOVED IT!! Would tell anyone and everyone about you.. The most important thing is that I felt so pretty and easy when you were with me..

The only time we’d be apart is when I go to bed..

Now, I really cant wait to get rid of you.. Nowadays you are requiring too much attention.. You are not as good as you were.. I have to keep you up to date or I suffer by a headache or I cant work.. Its just not easy.. I’ve complained A LOT about you, and everyone knows your story… I think its time.. 10 years is a life time. This relationship between me and you must end..

There is a way to get rid of you once and for all.. Not sure when I will be able to do it but I have to.. I’ve reached a point where I NEED YOU OUT OF MY LIFE..

Now it all comes to the 1000 Rials..

Once I get the 1000 Rials it’s gonna be the time I kill you..

A Note From Mc Evil

This is a note that was sent to me by my dear friend Mc Evil and i would like to share it with you guys..

Confessions of an overweight girl!

My beloved sisters!

I thought I should share!

We all have struggles with weight and once you lose it is hard to keep it off I don't know why!!!!! But I found out its all related to stress! If you are stressed out or uncomfortable (mostly with work) you need to start having ways to relax yourself and step away from the everyday stress ...... This sounds like a book right!! looool..... But trust me it is working for me and InshAllah it will work for you!

Don't stop eating!!!! our bodies are like machines we need fuel......... (just not chocolate lol) don't' miss meals, have whatever you want but don't miss a meal and have a snack between meals to (lessen cravings) preferable fruits or nuts whatever u like (not chocolate n fired foods) forget them its poisons!

Okay basically this isn't for everyone, but do 4 days a week just body bump and afterwards 20mins on the cross trainer or treadmill ( your metabolism will kick start and burn fat 24hrs). The rest of the days only do yoga or Pilates or anything to do with stretching and relaxing or even a brisk walk. I promise you will see your body transforming into a sexy kitten. Start with the light weights and work your way up!!! Your body will hurt for a week or more its fine it just means your body is actually using its muscles.

Okay what is the benefit, while I am sure you all know if you work with weights your metabolism starts working faster and burns fat for 24hrs.

I am sure you are all in my stage sick of feeling sorry for yourself because of weight! Well its time we start and start together!!!

One more tip DO NOT I repeat DO NOT WEIGHT yourself anymore!!!! As you might gain muscle and lose fat!! And Muscle weights more just keep checking your outfits, and warning don't eat sweets unless you know you will go burn it off!!!!!!!

Its time to take action and care for our bodies!

If Stress Burned Calories, I'd Be a Super Model By Now..

The Dubai Trip

7amani calls me on Monday and asks me to take off from Wednesday till Saturday from work.. I was surprised, I asked why and he refused to tell me why..

On Tuesday after work, he says to me “yala pack, tomorrow we are going to Dubai.. Its your birthday gift from me =) I am taking you on a break =D”

Its that SWEEET =D


Wednesday morning, I packed anything and everything lol.. Got ready and by 10:30 am we were off on the road..

I cant remember much of the road coz I was sleeping most of the time.. Cars, plains or anything that moves for a long time make me sleepy =p

So we finally reach to the hotel.. We stayed in Movenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach and it was GORGEOUS..

We didn’t do much on this trip.. of course we got lost A LOT on the road and somehow we kept passing the same buildings over and over again no matter what turn we take.. Dubai roads and signs SUCKS! Driving there felt something like this..

20,000 Dollars!!!!!!

Imagine.. My company paid 20,000 Dollars to another company just for them to create an excel sheet that will convert a word documents that contain data into tables!!!

Do you get how absurd that is??

I mean seriously, TWENTY BLOODY THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A LOUSY EXCEL SHEET.. (Yes it’s a complicated excel sheet but believe me its not worth 20,000 dollars) any may I add that the excel sheet is not even working probably and its full of bugs and it doesn’t support the measurement format that we use and now they are supposingly fixing it but they are taking like forever to do that, well I guess coz they have already been paid the money oh oh and now they say its coz our computers are not supporting some MS components and we need to upgrade it!!

Sometimes I am beyond shocked on how this company operates..

I forgot to reply “Eshda3wa” on a question that she asked me.. Who works is a port-cabin.. ME.. My office is in a port-cabin.. I mean a multibillion company and all they can afford to give us is a bloody cabin!! Its been 4 years and they say soon we will move lool.. I give it another 2 years but I am not really keen on moving to an open office.. It sucks.. its nice to be alone here.. A department that is so far away from the other departments.. if someone has a complain, they will think twice before coming to us lool..

Oh and the same or another company (not sure) want 110,000 Dollars so they can add “a code” in a software so it can match our requirements and do what we want..

10. Complain about your work every chance you get.

When you are missing out in everything coz work is taking most of your time and you realizes that you have no social life and you are no longer invited to weddings or gatherings coz they know that you wont be able to make it and your so called “friends” does not exceed the count of your right hand fingers and the only gathering that you are having along with the word “social” is when you team at work is invited to an open day or a brainstorming session in a fancy hotel conference room where you exchange the KPI’s between the different departments and discuss the ways to move forward work wise!!!

Confused..

I am so confused.. Somehow I am behind a day from the rest for the world.. I thought yesterday was the day before yesterday and today is yesterday and tomorrow is today? Lool. Confused much??

I woke up today thinking its Monday, and making Monday plans and actually counting the 2 more days till the weekend only to discover that today is TUESDAY and tomorrow is Wednesday and its one day to the weekend!

Now to make the matters worse, apparently its not only me who has cucu syndromes, somehow my phone has it to.. Not sure if it felt sorry for me or if it is actually as cucu as I am, but my phone date setting was also a day behind..

I go more confused coz my PC at work showed the date that I thought it was which is 14 but its actually 15.. Not sure if my eyes is also part of the cucu conspiracy and the master mind behind “the one day behind” scheme or is it actually following my cucu brain and allowing me to see what I want to see…

I knew I shouldn’t have stopped taking my pills!!

A Simple Gesture Goes A Long Way

Its always the little things that matters.. I order to live a happy life and have good karma I realized that its always the small things that leads to a better day..

When was the last time that you said “Thank You”, “Please” or shared a “smile” with a total stranger or your maids at home?

When was the last time you called or smsed an old friend and just said “hi” without expecting a reply or wanting a favour from them?

These things might seem like nothing but in reality it is a great deal. In my office, I always greet the cleaning guy with a smile and a good morning and sometimes if I have a sweet or a chocolate on my desk I do ask him to take some.. I never knew it meant a lot till I realized that I was the almost the only one in my department who actually takes the times to actually acknowledge the existence of this cleaning guy, therefore when he cleans my desk, its always cleaned nicely, and when he sees me from a far approaching the office he’d always hold the door for me..

Now I always say “please” and “thank you” with a smile to people.. Believe me, it does make a difference, and if someone is not smiling back, you are not loosing anything and that doesn’t make you less of a person.. And i realized that it feels good.. In away it give you some sense of "i did a good deed today"..

This is just something that I was thinking about and I wanted to share it with you guys.. “Thank You”, “Please” or shared a “smile” with a total stranger or your maids at home?

WHY WHY WHY WHY????? Laish ya3ni Saturday has to come and ruin my weekend mood??? WHY??? I demand an answer..

You know, I think they should change Saturday and call is “Happy Day” at least we start our day with

2) A lifted spirit

Or you know better yet,, just cancel Saturday from the weekdays yekoon a7san.. No need for Saturday.. Ba3deen what kind of a name is “Saturday” blaah.. Such a depressing day with a horrible name..

I *heart* My American Sister =D

Dear Emily..

You have no idea how happy I was when my brother called me telling me that i have a package from the US.. I was over the moon flying =D my hubby was like what are you so happy? I told him my American sister sent me something.. A wedding gift =D.. Of course he was confused till I explained to him how is it that you are my sister hehe..

Moving on.. I had trouble getting it coz it was in my name and my brother is the one who went to get it and they wouldn’t give it to him so I had to give him my I.D so he can go and get it and long story short I GOT IT =D

Of course as usual, the had to open the box since it comes from the US to the middle east, I guess they wanted to make sure no bombs were in there lool.. I really don’t get why you have to open it?? I mean you can bloody see it from the scan.. Anyways.. MOVING ON!!

So I get out of work and straight I go to my mom’s house practically jumping over the cars to reach home fast lool..

And the gift was this =D

A gorgeous crystal plate.. I LOVE I LOVE I LOVE IT!!!

p.s the whole box was filled with newspaper I forgot to take a pic of that, it was so funny,, I had to dig in to get the plate out lool..

Thank you so much for the wedding gift.. it means a lot to me.. It’s sad you couldn’t make it but don’t worry I will so photoshop your face in my wedding album =p

Hopefully I will be able to see you sometime VERY soon.. And you still owe me the road trip and you are not off the hook =p

Movies anyone?

I had the worst movie experience EVER last Thursday!!

Like seriously I vow to NEVER EVER go and watch a late night show EVER again in Bahja Cinema..

Let me tell you the story..

Me and 7amani at 10pm we decided to just go out, have dinner and hit the movies.. So we buy the tickets for “Bad Lieutenant” and we went to have dinner by the time we came back it was almost time for the movies

11:45 we walk into the cinema which was like suq samak and filled with badooz (Bedouin)

11:50 we are waiting outside the door that is yet to be open.. Me and hubby and 1000 guys around us.. it was awkward.. We stood for like 10 min then I told 7amani lets just walk outside and come back in after 10 min or so when the doors open..

The movie is suppose to start at 11:55 and till 12:05 the doors where still closed..

When the entrance was quite we entered the movie and I wished if I stayed home and just rented something to watch rather than being here in the movies with a punch or air heads..

I pay my money and I expect to enjoy it right?

WRONG!!!

The men in the theatre were just ridicules, every other scene they clap or they whistle or they throw rude remarks in the air.. It’s like it’s their living room and I am invading their space!!

Don’t even ask me how the movie was coz I really did not enjoy it one bit! And hubby set next to a guy that smelled like oil and vics lol.. I could smell it, it was just horrible..

So never again I will go to a late night show in Bahja… I do want to try Shatti Cinema, I heard the people there are more civilized than the hoosh that was in Bahja..

When did I become such a girl?

Like seriously, what the hell is happening to me? I don’t recognize ME anymore lol..

1. I go out with a handbag
@@ SINCE WHEN???!!! i used to carry a wallet, my phone and the car keys.. now the least thing to take with me when I am out is a handbag lool..

2. Least thing to do before going out is powdering/foundationing my face, eyeliner and a lipstick/lipgloss!
OMG is this even me???? what the hell happened to natural beauty =p

3. My hangbad has all the necessary girly stuff from sanitizer, to hand cream to a perfume!LOOOL!! Funny how before my handbag consisted only of my wallet and a bunch of ATM receipts lool..

This was mentioned to me yesterday when I went out with friends of mine who haven’t seen me for quite sometime, of course they had a laugh on my expenses as they never thought they would EVER see this day where Standy is acting all girly…

To all the girly girls out there “WE ROCK” hehehe

Even my football girls are surprised lool..
Actually I am more surprised than anyone else..

But to be honest, I am “secretly” liking this =)
It feels good to be a girly girl sometime =p

I hate Saturdays

Dear God,
Thank you for making my wish come true by making the dreadful morning meetings stop although it might not be in my best working interest but nevertheless my health and state of mind if more important and valuable than the ladder or success..

So now that the morning meets is out of the picture I still cant help hating Saturdays.. Its just there, waiting for you after a blissful Friday it appears and loads you with all the pending work and things that you need to do and you don’t have the energy for!

I wish if I could take 3 days off and 4 days working.. I don’t mind starting my day on a Sunday.. Sundays are usually lazy but fun..

I just hate today.. I have to prepare a presentation for the team leader to be presented tomorrow and the guy that was suppose to help me with it is missing in action and than I have an excel sheet that needs update so I can raise the issues that I am facing to the contractors that I will be meeting tomorrow but till now I donno how I didn’t/cant/don’t feel like doing it.. And I also have the usually tacking that I need to monitor and update to see how many jobs were done during the weekend and inform the engineers about them and yes I am still behind in that..

My morning has past hatefully and very slow/fast (cant figure out which it is). The only happiest 30min today was when I talked to my doctor and the next happiest hour would be lunch time when I meet my girls =)

Sigh.. Its 11am and life is still going when I am stuck in how/what/where I should do/take/make my first step in =)
